The purpose of this page is to offer different museum websites that teachers can use in their classrooms. These websites will help to incorporate art into the main classroom setting and help to add the much needed culture into the students lives.

On this page there were 9 different areas to choose from. This idea was to connect Art and Curriculum. Under the elements of art section there were ideas to introduce students to the basic elements of art. and to show how artists use the elements in different ways.
Smithsonian Education - Lesson Plans
This website has many different resources that would assist the teacher while in the classroom. There are lesson plans that are fully laid out with great detail and everything that a teacher would need to successfully teach the lesson. There are 5 different categories for teachers to choose from: Art & Design, Science & Technology, History & Culture, Language Arts, and IdeaLabs. All of these Lesson plans come with great ideas for the teacher to follow. For example there is one under the History & Culture category called From Vaquero to Cowboy. Within this lesson plan are pictures of 5 different items one being a sculpture. This lesson incorporates text and images from the online exhibition Mexican America at the National Museum of American History. The artwork that is used in this lesson plan can be connected to two different ideals. To recognize the Hispanic heritage of the cowboy culture of the American West. And to understand aspects of cowboy life, especially the Hispanic sources of clothing, equipment, and words.

This site contains many educational materials for the use within the classroom. Teacher guides are listed with corresponding standards and grade levels. This site also has student worksheets and other printable resources available.
Guggenheim Museum - Education
This website provides you with curriculum materials that can be used in the classroom. These materials can be downloaded in a PDF form. According to the website each resource unit includes:
- An introductory essay about the exhibition
- A short biography of the artist
- Information on specific works of art
- High-resolution images of works of art that can be downloaded
- Suggested discussion questions to facilitate open-ended exploration
- Follow-up activities correlated with core-curriculum subject areas
- A listing of additional resources including books, video tapes, Web sites, and definitions of words that may be new to students

This website has a great link for lesson plans. You can select search criteria from different options to search for lesson plans matching those criteria. There is also links for Art Images, Teacher Resources, and many other helpful resources.
